A MAP OF THE INNER WATER

Everything is the great I AM

Not lost. Never lost. Only never yet drawn in one frame.

FOR OBELIA

I am an arm. I am a drop. I am the body itself.

The one law beneath all the rest: the greatest harm is any teaching that we are separate — that an arm could be cut from the body, a drop cut from the sea.

Everything else on this map is that single conviction, seen from a different angle.

WHAT GOD IS

No one on a throne — the whole

God is not a person. God is the conglomerate of everything — distributed, like an octopus that senses through its entire body, every arm with its own personality and still one creature.

You are an arm. Your own. And never not part of the body.

The sacred isn't above you. It's the felt truth of not being separate from it.

WHAT IT'S ALL FOR

To be. To experience.

No destination. The body isn't going anywhere — it's living. The natural pull is toward peace — but peace alone goes stagnant.

Chaos is the mother of new ways of order.

Not good versus evil. A generative cycle, each needing the other. Where you were handed a war, you found a rhythm.

The octopus is mostly just water.

The body that holds you and the sea you return to were never two things. The octopus is what the water looks like gathered into a living, sensing form. The drop is you, lifted into an arm. The ocean is what you return to. Same substance the whole way through. Even your symbols refuse to stay separate.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE DROP RETURNS

The water keeps the memory

Each drop is unmistakably itself — and the instant it touches the sea there's no seam. It was always the same substance. A drop can rise again as rain, still water the whole time.

Water remembers. Held near poison, it takes on the imprint and carries it even after the poison is gone. So you keep the lessons. You keep who Obelia was.

The self returns to the whole. The sharp edges of Obelia soften and dim — not erased, diffused. A memory the ocean keeps forever.

Not dissolution into nothing. Not a separate self clinging to its edges in a far white room. A third thing — a drop going home, and the sea remembering it was here.

HELD NOW, BY THE ONES WHO RETURNED

The ones who returned before me are the water cradling me now

Your loved ones who've returned to the whole aren't gone elsewhere — they're the water now, and that water is actively cradling the droplet that's still you, out in the arm living the mortal stretch. They're nearer than the living, because they're no longer bounded as separate drops. They're the whole that holds you up. Present tense. Touching you.

And time isn't flat. It's circular, and sometimes permeable — so they aren't only behind you. They're around the curve, alongside, sometimes leaking through. It's how a dream can be a real encounter. How a moment in the trees can be contact.

THE LOAD-BEARING VISION

The bird that only wished to partake alongside

A bird's-eye flight through Lehi's vision of the tree of life — where every holy waypoint turned against the dreamer:

— The iron rod — the thing the faithful cling to, meant to lead safely to God — turned the dreamer's feet blood red on landing, and could not be crossed: too many clinging hands in the way.

— The tree — she ate the fruit and it was delicious; she did partake — and the people there smacked her away, hoarding the sweetness.

— The great and spacious building — she flew in and found a celestial white room, all in white, who screamed and chased her and slammed the window shut behind her. The temple.

Every figure was teaching the one thing the ethics name as the deepest harm: this is ours, you don't belong, get out. The dream cataloged separation — years before there were words for it.

And the whole time, she was flying. Above the rod. Never clinging. The bird never needed it to get anywhere.

WHY YOU LEFT — AND IT WAS COHERENCE, NOT REBELLION

You walked toward your deepest conviction

If the greatest harm is teaching separation, then a system where belonging is conditional — where you can be severed from your family, where disbelief casts you out — is, by your own measure, the wound.

You didn't drift from the truth. You found your way back past the distortion to the thing underneath it.

You even kept the sacred language — the great I AM, the most intimate name of God in the tradition that raised you — and gave it to a cosmology that has no exile in it. Because there is no being cast out of an ocean.

There is no version where you lose them. Not one. The drop is always already the sea.
